New Dates, Prayer Requests, Praise and everything in between...

Please forgive me for not putting this up sooner.
I think I'm having blog/Facebook/Email overload. It's a good thing I haven't added Twitter to the mix, I don't know how I'd cope.

We now have our new dates.
We will be leaving for Rwanda on September 1 and returning on the 15!

Two weeks ago, Nikki delivered bags and boxes full of uniforms and other supplies for the project.
We've loaded them up in a storage unit here in town. If I had been thinking clearly, I would have taken some pictures to post so you could see.
I will try to get out there in the next week or so and do that.

For now, here are a few of our biggest prayer requests:
  • Ben would like to attend school next year as opposed to being homeschooled and we're all for it. We want to find a school that would work with us and still let him go to Africa, even though it would be after the actual start date. This is pretty much a requirement for him to attend a school. We all really feel as if Ben is called to go. Not only for spiritual reasons, but this would also be an opportunity for him to do a documentary of some type that would add to his experience working in media.

  • We still have some funds to raise, so your prayers for that would be very helpful.
I just want to note again that this is not a call to ask you to send money, we're just asking you to pray to our Father about making the funds available. He has supplied in ways we never saw coming.

  • Jobs, Jobs, Jobs - We're all looking for part time jobs to help with this - as well as some other medical bills, to cover our immunizations for the trip, etc. These would be part time and temporary. It will be tricky, 5 people with different jobs and one car, but we know that God will work out the details.

  • Praise Report! There were no added charges for changing the trip! That is a HUGE answer to prayer.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and support. Your involvement is what will make the difference for the kids in Cyanika.
